Ingredients

24 Oreo cookies, crushed

5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

24 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

3 large eggs

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tablespoon red food coloring

1 cup whipped cream

6 Oreo cookies for garnish


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 325°F and grease a 9-inch springform pan.

2. Mix crushed Oreo cookies with melted butter and press into the bottom of the pan.

3. Bake the crust for 8 minutes and allow it to cool.

4. Beat cream cheese until smooth.

5. Add sugar and mix until combined.

6. Mix in sour cream, heavy cream, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and red food coloring.

7. Add eggs one at a time, mixing just until incorporated.

8. Pour batter over the prepared crust and smooth the top.

9. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes until the edges are set and the center slightly jiggles.

10. Cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.

11. Decorate with whipped cream and Oreo cookies before serving.

Notes

Avoid overmixing the batter after adding the eggs. Overmixing incorporates excess air and increases the chance of cracks forming during baking.
