Ingredients
10 Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes
4 oz cream cheese, softened
16 oz white chocolate melting wafers or vanilla almond bark
1/2 cup white candy melts, for drizzle
2 tablespoons red and green sanding sugar
2 tablespoons holiday sprinkles
Instructions
1. Add the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes to a large bowl and crumble them until the cake and frosting are evenly broken down.
2. Add the softened cream cheese and mix until a thick, smooth cake ball mixture forms.
3. Scoop the mixture into even portions and roll into balls.
4. Place the cake balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
5. Chill in the freezer for 20 minutes, or until firm.
6. Melt the white chocolate melting wafers or vanilla almond bark until smooth.
7. Dip each chilled cake ball into the melted coating, letting the excess drip off.
8. Place the coated cake balls back on the parchment paper.
9. Melt the white candy melts and drizzle over the tops.
10. Sprinkle immediately with red and green sanding sugar or holiday sprinkles.
11. Let the coating set completely, then serve chilled.
Notes
Do not skip the chilling step before dipping. If the cake balls are too soft, they can break apart in the warm melted coating and lose their round shape.
