Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
1/3 cup cornstarch

1 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons neutral oil
1 red bell pepper, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 green onions, sliced
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
4 cups cooked white rice
Instructions
1. Pat the chicken pieces dry, then season with salt and black pepper.
2. Toss the chicken with cornstarch until every piece is lightly coated.
3. Whisk honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, and extra black pepper in a small bowl.
4. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
5. Add the chicken in a single layer and cook until golden and cooked through, working in batches if needed.
6. Stir in the red bell pepper and cook for 2 minutes until slightly tender.
7. Pour the honey pepper sauce into the skillet and stir to coat the chicken.

Notes
Do not add the sauce before the chicken is browned. If the chicken has not developed golden edges first, the sauce can thin out, steam the coating, and prevent that sticky glazed texture.
