Ingredients
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons water
1 pinch cayenne pepper, optional
Instructions
1. Add the mayonnaise to a medium mixing bowl.
2. Whisk in the tomato paste and melted butter until smooth and evenly orange.
3. Add the rice vinegar, sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne if using.
4. Whisk until the sauce is creamy and fully combined.
5. Add water a little at a time until the sauce reaches your preferred dipping or drizzling consistency.
6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour so the flavors can blend.
7. Stir again before serving and adjust with a splash of water if needed.
Notes
Do not skip the chilling time. Freshly mixed yum yum sauce can taste a little sharp, but after resting in the refrigerator, the flavors become smoother, creamier, and more balanced.
