Description

Halloween Bloody Red Velvet Popcorn is a spooky, crunchy, sweet Halloween snack that turns plain popcorn into a dramatic party treat with red velvet flavor, rich cocoa notes, and a glossy blood-red drizzle. This easy recipe is perfect for Halloween party food, quick dessert ideas, movie night snacks, festive food ideas, and fun no-bake treats that look impressive without much effort.

Ingredients

10 cups popped plain popcorn

12 ounces white chocolate or vanilla candy melts

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon fine salt

1 teaspoon red gel food coloring

1/2 teaspoon cream cheese flavoring or 2 tablespoons cheesecake pudding powder

3 ounces dark chocolate or black candy melts

1/4 cup Halloween sprinkles or candy eyes

Instructions

1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the popped popcorn in a wide layer, removing any unpopped kernels.

2. Melt the white chocolate or vanilla candy melts with the butter in short microwave bursts, stirring until smooth.

3. Stir in the cocoa powder, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, salt, red gel food coloring, and cream cheese flavoring until the coating is deep red and smooth.

4. Pour the red velvet coating over the popcorn and gently fold until the popcorn is evenly streaked and coated.

5. Melt the dark chocolate or black candy melts, then drizzle over the coated popcorn for a spooky Halloween finish.

6. Add Halloween sprinkles or candy eyes while the coating is still soft.

7. Let the popcorn set at room temperature until firm, then break into clusters and serve.

Notes

Do not store the popcorn before the coating is fully set, or steam and warmth can make it chewy instead of crisp.
