Ingredients
6 slices brioche bread, cut into cubes
4 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter, for greasing the pan
2 tablespoons powdered sugar, for topping
1/2 cup maple syrup, for serving
1 cup mixed fresh berries
1/2 cup whipped cream or Greek yogurt
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a standard 12-cup muffin pan with butter.
2. Cut the brioche into small cubes and set it aside.
3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
4. Add the bread cubes to the custard mixture and gently toss until all the bread is coated.
5. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes so the bread can absorb the liquid.
6. Spoon the soaked bread evenly into the muffin cups, pressing lightly so each cup holds together.
7. Bake for 22 to 25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the centers are set.
8. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then carefully remove the cups.
9. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with berries, whipped cream or Greek yogurt, and maple syrup.
Notes
