Ingredients
36 Golden Oreo cookies
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
16 ounces white chocolate melting wafers or white almond bark
2 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, melted for drizzle
2 tablespoons holiday sprinkles
1 tablespoon gold sanding sugar
2 tablespoons crushed Golden Oreo crumbs for topping
Instructions
1. Add the Golden Oreos to a food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs.
2. Add the softened cream cheese and mix until the crumbs form a smooth, thick dough.
3. Scoop the mixture into small portions and roll into evenly sized balls.
4. Place the truffle balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and chill until firm.
5. Melt the white chocolate wafers or almond bark in short microwave bursts, stirring until smooth.
6. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted white chocolate and let the excess drip off.
7. Place the coated truffles back on the parchment paper and add sprinkles, gold sugar, or cookie crumbs while the coating is still wet.
8. Let the white chocolate set completely, then drizzle with melted semi-sweet chocolate.
9. Chill until firm before serving or storing.
Notes
Do not skip chilling the rolled truffles before dipping. If the centers are too soft, they can fall apart in the melted chocolate and make the coating thick or messy.
