Description

This Thanksgiving Piecaken is a jaw-dropping fusion dessert that layers pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and apple pie between moist spice cake and luscious cream cheese frosting. Perfect for anyone searching for a unique show-stopper, this easy recipe combines holiday classics into one unforgettable centerpiece. Ideal for your quick Thanksgiving dessert planning, easy holiday baking, or anyone collecting food ideas and dinner ideas for festive gatherings.

Ingredients

1 pumpkin pie (9-inch), baked and cooled

1 pecan pie (9-inch), baked and cooled

1 apple pie (9-inch), baked and cooled

2 spice cake layers (9-inch), baked and cooled

3 cups cream cheese frosting or whipped buttercream

1 cup caramel sauce

1 cup whipped cream

1 teaspoon cinnamon

½ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

1. Bake or purchase the three pies—pumpkin, pecan, and apple—and let them cool completely.

2. Bake two 9-inch round spice cake layers and allow them to cool thoroughly.

3. Prepare a batch of thick cream cheese or whipped buttercream frosting.

4. Place one cake layer on a cake board and spread a layer of frosting on top.

5. Gently place a pie on the frosted cake layer, then add more frosting.

6. Alternate cake and pie layers, spreading frosting between each layer.

7. Apply a crumb coat over the entire stack and chill for 30 minutes.

8. Frost the exterior of the Piecaken smoothly and evenly.

9. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top, allowing it to drip down the sides.

10. Decorate with piped whipped cream swirls and a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg.

11. Chill for a few hours or overnight to set. Slice with a serrated knife to serve.

Notes

Let each component cool completely before assembling to prevent melting or collapsing.

A serrated knife works best for clean slices through the thick layers.

Make this a day ahead for easier slicing and a more cohesive flavor experience.
