Description
This Texas Christmas Dip is everything you want in a holiday appetizer: creamy, smoky, cheesy, and just the right amount of spice. It brings together the bold flavors of crispy bacon, tangy ranch, and sharp cheddar into one irresistible bowl. Perfect for scooping with buttery crackers or crisp veggies, it disappears in minutes at any gathering.
Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
8 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/2 cup diced pimentos, drained
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Let your cream cheese soften at room temperature. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sour cream together until smooth and fluffy.
2. Fold in the shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, chopped green onions, drained pimentos, and ranch seasoning. Stir until well combined.
3. Cover and refrigerate the dip for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld.
4. Before serving, top with a sprinkle of paprika and freshly chopped parsley. Serve with crackers, chips, or veggie sticks.
5. For a warm dip, transfer to a baking dish and heat at 350°F for 15–20 minutes.
Notes
This dip is even better after chilling for several hours.
Use freshly cooked bacon for best flavor and texture.
To make it spicier, add chopped jalapeños or a pinch of cayenne.
