Ingredients
1 pie crust
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 large eggs
1 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Place your pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges as desired. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly on the bottom of the unbaked crust. Top with chopped pecans.
3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
4. Carefully pour the filling over the pecans and chocolate chips.
5. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Shield the crust with foil if it browns too fast.
6. Let the pie cool completely before slicing to allow the filling to set.
Notes
Let the pie cool at least 2 hours before slicing to ensure clean cuts.
Use dark chocolate chips for a deeper, less sweet flavor.
Cover edges with foil mid-bake if they start browning too quickly.
