Ingredients
250g ground beef
250g ground pork
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 large egg
1/2 onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
300g wide egg noodles
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 cups shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Instructions
1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, pork, breadcrumbs, egg, sautéed onion, garlic, allspice, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix and roll into small meatballs.
2. Brown the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat until cooked through. Set aside.
3. Cook egg noodles in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, melt butter and whisk in flour to create a roux.
5. Gradually stir in beef broth until smooth, then add sour cream and heavy cream. Simmer until slightly thickened.
6. In a large baking dish, mix noodles, meatballs, and sauce. Toss to coat evenly.
7. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) uncovered for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
9. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
