Description
This strawberry cheesecake dump cake is an easy dessert recipe that tastes rich, creamy, fruity, and bakery-worthy with very little effort. Ingredients
1 box yellow cake mix
2 cans strawberry pie filling
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup whipped cream, for serving
4 whole strawberries, for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
3. Scatter the chopped fresh strawberries over the pie filling layer.
4. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
5. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry layer.
6. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the top without stirring.
7. Drizzle the melted butter as evenly as possible over the cake mix.
8. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the top is golden and the edges are bubbling.
9. Let the dessert cool for at least 20 minutes before serving.
10. Serve with whipped cream and garnish with whole strawberries.
Notes
Do not stir the layers together after adding the cake mix, or you will lose the classic dump cake texture with distinct fruity, creamy, and buttery layers.
