Description

Slow Cooker BBQ Ribs are the ultimate easy dinner when you want bold barbecue flavor with barely any fuss. These tender, juicy pork ribs cook low and slow until they are packed with smoky, sweet, tangy flavor, making them perfect for an easy recipe, cozy dinner ideas, family meals, game day food ideas, and comfort food nights at home.

Ingredients

2 racks pork ribs

2 cups barbecue sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs if needed, then pat the ribs dry with paper towels.

2. Rub the ribs lightly with olive oil on both sides.

3. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.

4. Rub the seasoning mixture all over the ribs, pressing it in well.

5. In another bowl, stir together the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.

6. Cut the ribs into sections so they fit inside the slow cooker.

7. Arrange the rib sections in the slow cooker and spoon some of the sauce mixture over them.

8. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the ribs are tender.

9. Carefully transfer the cooked ribs to a foil-lined baking sheet.

10. Brush the ribs with more barbecue sauce and broil for 3 to 5 minutes until caramelized and sticky.

11. Let the ribs rest for a few minutes, then slice between the bones.

12. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Avoid adding too much extra liquid to the slow cooker, because the ribs release moisture as they cook and too much liquid can water down the sauce instead of letting the flavor stay rich and concentrated.
