Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
12 ounces Italian sausage (sliced into rounds or crumbled)
2 cups broccoli florets
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 cup orzo pasta
2 1/2 cups chicken broth
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme or parsley
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook until browned on all sides, about 7-8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
