It’s perfect for quick dinners, cozy gatherings, or special occasions.

Ingredients

2 ribeye steaks

4 Yukon Gold potatoes

1 cup heavy cream

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 tablespoons butter

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese

2 sprigs fresh rosemary

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cracked black pepper

Instructions

1. Peel and thickly slice the potatoes, then parboil them in salted water for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.

2. In a small saucepan, simmer heavy cream with minced garlic and a sprig of rosemary for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and discard the rosemary.

3. Season the ribeye steaks with salt and cracked pepper. Sear both sides in a hot skillet with butter until browned. Do not cook through.

4. Arrange the potato slices in a baking dish. Pour the infused cream over them and sprinkle mozzarella and Gruyère over the top.

5. Place the seared ribeye steaks on top of the potatoes. Add another layer of cheese and rosemary.

6. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes until the cheese is golden and the steak reaches desired doneness.

7. Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.

Notes

For best results, choose ribeye steaks with visible marbling to ensure juiciness.

Use a mix of cheeses for a perfect melt and balanced flavor.

Resting the dish before serving helps enhance flavor and texture.
