Ingredients
4 salmon fillets
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking dish or sheet pan with parchment paper.
2. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
3. Pat the salmon fillets dry and place them on the prepared pan, skin-side down if the skin is on.
4. Brush or spoon the maple glaze evenly over the salmon fillets.
5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
6. Brush with any remaining glaze during the last few minutes if desired.
7. Remove from the oven, rest for 2 minutes, then sprinkle with sesame seeds and fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Avoid overbaking the salmon, because it can go from juicy and flaky to dry very quickly, especially if your fillets are thin.
