Ingredients

10 jalapeño peppers

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Slice jalapeños in half lengthwise and carefully remove seeds and membranes.

3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon crumbles, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.

4. Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, slightly mounding the top.

5. Arrange filled jalapeños on the prepared baking sheet.

6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and tops are golden and bubbly.

7. Remove from oven and sprinkle with extra chopped green onions if desired.

8. Serve warm and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Use gloves while handling jalapeños to avoid skin irritation.

For extra heat, leave some of the membranes intact or add hot sauce to the filling.
