Perfect for holiday gatherings, cozy brunches, or quick party starters, it’s an easy recipe that delivers elegant flavor. Whether you’re hunting for quick breakfast ideas, easy dinner sides, or fun food ideas for entertaining, this cheesy, festive bread checks all the boxes. A guaranteed show-stopper!

Ingredients

1 round sourdough boule

8 oz Brie cheese, sliced or cubed

1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)

3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp fresh rosemary or thyme, chopped (optional)

1 pinch salt

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Place the sourdough loaf on a cutting board and slice crisscross cuts into it, being careful not to cut all the way through.

3. Tuck the Brie slices evenly into the cuts of the bread.

4. Spoon cranberry sauce over the top, letting it seep into the crevices.

5. Brush the top of the loaf with melted butter.

6. Place the bread on a parchment-lined baking sheet or in a cast iron skillet.

7. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes.

8. Remove foil and bake another 10 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

9. Sprinkle with herbs and a pinch of salt, then serve immediately.

Notes

Use day-old sourdough for best texture—it holds up better while baking.

To save time, prep the stuffed bread up to a day ahead and refrigerate until baking.

Feel free to experiment with flavored Brie or a dash of orange zest in the cranberry sauce for a twist.
