Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 cup salted butter, cold and cubed
3/4 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons salted butter (for glaze)
2 tablespoons honey (for glaze)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and sugar.
3. Add the cold, cubed butter and cut it into the flour until pea-sized crumbs form.
4. Slowly pour in the heavy cream and mix gently until a shaggy dough forms.
5. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead 4-5 times until it just comes together.
6. Pat the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick, fold it in half, and repeat once more.
7. Roll out to 1 inch thick and cut 8 biscuits using a round cutter.
8. Place biscuits on the sheet, touching for soft sides or spaced for crisp edges.
9. Bake for 12-14 minutes until golden.
10. While baking, melt butter and mix with honey for the glaze.
11. Brush warm biscuits with honey butter and serve immediately.
Notes
Use cold butter and don’t overmix to keep biscuits flaky.
Fold the dough to create tender layers that rise beautifully.
Glaze right out of the oven for the best flavor and shine.
