Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

8 ounces rigatoni pasta

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 medium onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 medium potatoes, boiled and sliced

Instructions

1. Cook rigatoni pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Boil potatoes until fork-tender, then slice into thin rounds.

3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; sauté until soft and fragrant.

4. Add ground beef to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.

5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

6. In a greased baking dish, layer sliced potatoes, then pasta, followed by the beef mixture, and a layer of mozzarella cheese. Repeat layering if needed.

7. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.

8. Remove foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.

9. Let the casserole rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best texture, make sure your pasta is cooked just to al dente before baking.

Let the casserole rest before slicing to allow the layers to set.

Want extra flavor? Add a sprinkle of Parmesan on top before baking.
