Ingredients
2 ½ cups fresh apples, peeled and thinly sliced
2 cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Press into a greased 9×13-inch pan and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
2. Toss sliced apples with granulated sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Spread over baked crust.
3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, remaining sugar, baking powder, and flour. Pour over apples.
4. For the topping, mix butter, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon until crumbly. Sprinkle on top.
5. Bake at 350°F for 40–45 minutes until golden. Cool completely before slicing.
